Polypropylene is a polymer that is widely used in the production of car parts due to its good impact resistance and high processability. By adding talc along with other additives to polypropylene, useful structural changes are made in it, improving mechanical properties and saving the cost of the produced product. Therefore, due to the unique performance of this compound and the possibility of high exploitation, it is used in the production of plastic and non-plastic materials.
Parts produced from polypropylene/talc compounds show higher dimensional stability and less shrinkage and thermal expansion after injection.
Since talc has a higher heat transfer coefficient than polypropylene, it eases and reduces the cooling cycle time of the injection process and improves production efficiency.
