Ethylene vinyl acetate is a type of copolymer used in industrial coatings and laminates and in the film industry. The EVA copolymer contains between 10 and 15 percent molybdenum vinyl acetate, which binds to ethylene as a polar substrate.
The resulting copolymer has been widely used in the film industry due to its flexibility and transparency. If a small percentage of vinyl acetate is used because it is non-toxic, it can also be used in food packaging.
